A chair over 100 years old, which belonged to the late Benjamin Single ton, who was one of the exploration party that found the district which now bears his name, was recently mentioned in a paragraph as being on display at T. W. Ferrington s furniture store at Singleton. The chair is the property of Mrs. R. Moore, of Ravensworth. Many people inspected the chair, which was given considerable publicity. Amongst, those who wrote to Mrs. Moore regarding the chair was Mrs. G. S. Beeston, of Blackalls, Toronto, and now Mrs. Moore has decided to give the chair to Mrs. Beeston, who is a granddaughter of the late Benjamin Singleton.
