Details: Lieut-Colonel Henry Dumaresq fought a duel with Dr. Robert Wardell in Sydney on 19 March 1827. Wardell had written an infamous article 'How to Live by Plunder', which appeared in his Australian newspaper on 17 March. By Advetisement in the Sydney Gazette, on 24 March, W.D. Wentworth explained the circumstances of the duel in which he acted as Wardell's second and Captain Gillman acted as Henry Dumaresq's second......Roger Therry said the Colonel shot a button off Wardell's coat, and one of Wardell's bullets grazed the Colonel's chest, causing a little bleeding which the Colonel concealed, ready to fire again
