Four prisoners are arrived by the Elizabeth Henrietta for trial on a charge of sheep stealing a species of crime which is carried on at the Southern Settlements to a most ruinous extent. The names of three are Trimby (the father and his two sons) that of the fourth is Connor Shahan. The prosecutor who is also arrived as one of the witnesses for the prosecution, is Mr. Gibson of Launceston, whose losses have been heretofore considerable exceeding 200 sheep

Application by Henry Gillman, the Commandant at Newcastle soliciting indulgences from His Excellency the Governor for prisoners he considered worthy... James Trimby aged 76 years came to the colony as a prisoner for 7 years, settled at Norfolk Island and from thence removed to Port Dalrymple where he has a farm and property. His son (Joseph Trimby) born at Norfolk Island both convicted by a criminal court in June 1818 and transported to Newcastle for 14 years. Have always been in government service. Another son still at Newcastle transported at the same time. Well Behaved
