Phillip Skillicorn charged with having, at Newcastle, broken into the dwelling house of Matthew Downie and stealing jewelry. The prosecutor said that he knew the prisoner to be an honest, upright, honorable man who was mad from drink or would not have acted as he did. Prisoner held a good position in Newcastle as a butcher. Discharged with a warning
