(Lewis Jones) A son of Turon Jones was up on the cliffs above the beach one day throwing stones for a dog to retrieve, The dog bumped him and he fell over the cliff to his death. Next door to the hotel Martin Richard son had two shops, which were tenanted Knaggs the chemist and Langly the grocer

Funeral of Lewis Jones, for many years landlord of the Prince of Wales Hotel. His remains were borne in a hearse and he was followed to the grave by one of the largest and most respectable processions seen in this town to the Church of England burial ground. Rev. A. E. Selwyn performed the funeral service and at its conclusion delivered a very impressive address to the large audience which surrounded the grave
