This is one of the oldest hotels in Maitland, having been kept by the father of the present proprietor in 1852, since which it has passed through many hands. It is a brick building of two stories, and the ground floor contains dining and sitting rooms, bar, etc., whilst the upper floor has eight well-lighted and airy bedrooms and a private drawing-room. The stabling in the rear is the most spacious in Maitland, there being six loose-boxes, stalls, buggy-house, as well as all the necessary outbuildings for hotel use. Mr. Fullford is a member of the Foresters, and has held the position of auditor in the lodge. He married in Maitland in 1885.
