Details: Julia Foote was charged with having stolen a sum of money, the property of Thomas O Brien at East Maitland. Counsel called evidence as to character, Dr. Allan of Raymond Terrace who had come out from England the the accused, whose character during the voyage was exemplary. During the whole trip she suffered from hysteria and was confined to the ship hospital. Witness had seen her several times since her arrival in the colony and her behaviour had been very excellent
