Details: Mr. James Blythe Clark, a former well-known business man of Newcastle, died this morning at his residence, Warrawee, on the North Sydney line. Mr. Clark, who was a native of London, was in his 65th year. With his parents, he arrived in Newcastle over 50 years ago, when his father started a business in Walt-street near the Bank of Now South Wales. A ship chandlery and provision store was subsequently established in Scott Street, and carried on by the deceased for many years. This place was the rendezvous for masters of vessels of every nationality until the business passed into other hands, and perhaps no one was better known to the shipping community in all quarters of the world than the late Mr. Clark. He took but little part In the public affairs of the city, but his assistance could always be relied upon to aid any good cause. He made many friends in Newcastle, and gained the esteem and confidence, of everybody .
