Ten years ago he settled in Grafton, selected land on the Orara River, and afterwards purchased, in conjunction with his brother, the station abovementioned. This is a very fine property, consisting of 3000 acres of freehold. It has a frontage to the Orara River, is fenced in, and is well stocked with Durham cattle and heavy draught and saddle horses. Mr. Daniel Carlton resides on and manages the estate, while his brother (Mr. J. B. Carlton) lives in Ulmarra township, on the Clarence, where he has a large farm and fattening paddock.
