Charged with disobedience....William Saunders senior wardsman at the hospital testified....On Friday morning last I wen to the lower hospital to find some men to fetch wood in the cart. I saw the prisoner in the kitchen and told him to fetch some wood . He said he would not go if Stephen Lee went. That they should not both leave the ward at the same time. I desired him not to interfere with Stephen Lee. He then said he would not go unless the axe was ground. I asked him to tell me whether he would go or not when he said he would split my mouth if I agrieved him. Guilty. Sentenced to ten days in the cells
