Details: Among those who found a resting place in the old churchyard were several of the men, who, as master builders, left memorials of their workmanship in the city and in their time helped to make the town what it is. Aong others may be mentioned Mr. John Landeryou who passed away in 1878 at the age of 40 and whose widow for years kept the old Princess Royal Hotel in Hunter Street West. Another was Mr. George Henry Cox, who diedin 1875 and Mr. John Cox who died in 1873. The latter laid the foundations of the present Custom House.
