Details: Samuel Swindles (Swindells), free, George Brice, ticket of leave holder and Ester Crookwell, free charged with theft. - Thomas Peel, free deposed - I am employed by Richard Ward, I have charge of his shop during his absence in Sydney. Last night I was sitting in company with the prisoner Swindles we were playing cards. George Brice and the prisoner Crockwell were there at the time. We had been drinking brandy. Brice found some money I had concealed, I ordered them away not anticipating anything wrong and they left the house. After they went I found the money all gone and called the constables. Brice and Crockwell committed for trial. Swindells was discharged.
