Constable Matthew McDonnell stated - I apprehended the prisoner this morning at Mr. Allmans farm. He had not a proper certificate of freedom. I was a constable at Penrith about 20 months ago. I recollect at that time there was a charge of horse stealing laid against a man of the same name and description as the prisoner. Prisoner ordered to be forwarded to Hyde Park Barracks to be identified
