Details: John Bradley, constable at the prisoners barracks charged with suspicion of stealing a brooch from John Kelly. This case arose out of the preceding one under the following circumstances.....Kelly interfered to prevent Thomas Welsh from being further ill-treated and was taking him quietly to gaol when the constable interfered and the disturbance was renewed. Kelly had his shirt and waist coat torn by Bradley and immediately after missed the brooch from the bosom of his shirt. This complaint dismissed there being no proof although a strong suspicion
