That Your Excellency s Petitioner has a wife and seven children to support which he rents a farm in the district of Appin at the rate of 100 pounds per annum and is possessed of 2 horses and 8 head of horned cattle.

Details: Reminiscences of and old Maitland identify - A native of Lough Park, Mr. Charles Watters, well known in Maitland, will attain the 94th milestone of his life tomorrow. Mr. Watters did not live long in Lough Park as a boy, and was quite young when he went to Buttai where his father settled and cultivated an orchard. As a young man he was married in the old St. Peters Church at East Maitland by Rev. Mr. Tyrrell to Miss Ellen Bourke, a native of Ireland and whose father was a farmer at Buttai. A few years afterwards Mr. Watters came back to Lough Park, then to Lochinvar and again to Lough Park, where he purchased land and settled as an orchardist. This orchard which became renowned was situated just over the Yarrabong Bridge to the left side. After his wife s death Mr. Watters went to live with his son Mr. George Watters. He sold the orchard and the farm adjoining.
