Details: Maitland Pioneer - William Pryor died at Tamworth age 96 years had spent 85 years in NSW. He arrived by the emigrant ship Orontes after a six months voyage in May 1838 with his parents. The family settled at Maitland an engaged in agricultural pursuits. Seven of his grandsons saw active service in the Great War and four made the supreme sacrifice being buried in four different countries - Palestine, France, England and Australia
