Details: Quite a gloom was cast over the locality when it became known on Thursday last that after a short illness Mr. Albert John Parish, of Hilldale, had passed away, about 9 o clock on Wednesday night. Death was caused by pneumonia, which immediately followed a very severe attack of influenza. Dr. Bowker, of Dungog, was in attendance, but medical -skill proved to be of no avail. The deceased young man was well known throughout the district, and by his kindly disposition had won for himself a large number of friends. Among the immediate, relatives present were : Messrs. Jas. David, Sam, and Joseph Parish (brothers), F. Dare (Underbank), W. Darr (Bingleburra), Charles Kimber (Abbotslea Station, Quirindi),. all of whom are half-brothers of deceased also Mrs. Jno. Horne (Vacy) and Miss Amelia Parish, who are sisters. Deceased, who was the third son of a famous orchardist, Mr. James Parish, of Parish Bourne, Hill- Dale had just attained his twenty-eighth year; and the saddest thing to relate is that he had entered the holy, bonds of matrimony only a fortnight previous to his death. His remains were interred in the Church of England Cemetery, Paterson. The Rev. Stephen Taylor officiated at the grave
