Details: MICHAEL O MEARA was born in Tipperary, Ireland, in 1853. When six years old he was brought to Australia by his parents, who settled in the Morpeth district, where he was educated. He was taught the cabinetmaking under Mr. J. G. White, of that town, at the same time pursuing his studies till in 1882 he passed the teachers examination in Sydney. He was then appointed to the Willow Tree School, which he still conducts. Mr. O Meara is married, and has one son
