Details: Patrick Moran died at Yarramalong. He came to Wyong district 80 years previously when 13 years old. He was in his 93rd year. He put the first plough into the ground at Yarramalong. Later he went to Cooranbong and engaged as a pit sawyer, going from there to Newcastle where he worked as a shipwright with Callan and Sons. His eyesight and hearing failing at 75, he retired and resided for a time at Ourimbah, finally returning to Yarramalong dying at the residence of his nephew Arthur Stinson. Mr. Moran had been twice married, his second wife died 17 years previously. He left no family. His first playmates at Wyong were the natives who taught him to throw a boomerang and spear fish, accomplishments he never lost
