Details: Jane Miller and Louisa Wilmott, two servant girls, were severally charged with committing a breach of the peace in the neighbourhood of one of the A. A. Company pits near the Pottery, Lake Macquarie Road, on 23rd January. From the evidence of constable Smith it appeared the two girls had a quarrel, and arranged to settle the matter by a stand-up fight. After the fourth round, the constable making his appearance, the pugilists and backers decamped. Both the defendants were bound over to keep the peace, themselves in 10 pound each and 2 sureties in 5 pounds each for six months
