Details: Mr. Benjamin Lunn, innkeeper of Lambton, had some property at Lake Macquarie, clos to that of Mr. Morrice Marks and Mr. Williamson on which there was a weatherboard and shingled two roomed house prettily situated on the edge of the lake. This house had been occupied for some time by a single man named John Stanley who obtained a living, sometimes by fishing and others as a bushman getting timber, shingles etc. The house burned down while Stanley went down to the lake with a friend having previously lit a fire to make tea

Cohen and Company. will regret to learn that he died at his residence. Military road, Newcastle, on the 7th instant, at the age of 59 years. The deceased gentleman resided in Maitland for very many years, and was widely known in connection with, the business of David Cohen and Co, in which he had been a strenuous worker for a period of about 35 or 37 years.
