Details: ALFRED LAMBERT, Bank Hotel, was born in the Lochinvar district, N.S.W., in 1859, educated at Maitland, and devoted his earlier years to farming on his father s property. In 1881 he joined the New South Wales Mounted Police Force, and served in that body in Sydney and through the Upper Hunter district till 1887, when he resigned and purchased the lease of his present hotel, which he has since conducted with success to himself and comfort to the public. In 1886 he married the daughter of Mrs. Craig, the former proprietress of the hotel, and has one daughter. He is a member of the Wesleyan Church, a good specimen of a native -born Australian, a patron of all athletic sports, and generally aids the advancement of the town. The Bank Hotel has over twenty rooms, with every necessary accommodation for a large country trade ; it was one of the earliest established, and is now a leading house in Quirindi township
