Details: D. E. HUNTER AND CO., Sheet Metal Workers and General Ironmongers, King street, give employment to a number of hands, and manufacture, in addition to the various lines embraced in their business, the star brand of mixed paints. They supply most of the stores with metal goods, and do a large trade. David Edmund Hunter was born in Canada in 1858, and there received his education and the training of a mechanical engineer. He arrived in Australia in 1876, and settled shortly afterwards in Raymond Terrace, where he entered a mercantile house as ironmonger. In 1881 he commenced business on his own account. He was married in Wallsend in 1883, and has three children living
