Details: FRED. CORLETT, Tailor and Outfitter, was born in the Isle of Man in 1850, and learned his trade in Liverpool. At the early age of twenty he went to America and travelled all over the States and Canada, for seven years working at his trade. He returned to England and came thence to Melbourne, where he worked for some time and then removed to Sydney, being occupied by the best-known firms. In 1880 he came to Muswellbrook and commenced business in Bridge-street, which he carried on for three and a-half years, and then removed to his present premises in Sydney-street. Mr. Corlett turns out goods equal to those by any Sydney house. He is a thorough protectionist and is certain that a protective duty on materials which could be manufactured in the colony would greatly benefit the country. Ile is married to a native of Muswellbrook, and is the father of one son and two daughters
