The Castle Eden has had rather a protracted passage, having been 115 days from Plymouth, in consequence of having carried away her three topmasts, with fore and main tops, on the 9th of July last, during a very heavy squall north of the equator. She reports having exchanged signals with the barque Kinnear, from London to Hobart Town, in lat. 41 S. 45 E., all well. She has brought 302 immigrants, principally English and Scotch : they consist of 51 married couples, 63 single men, 50 single women, 44 boys and 37 girls under the age of fourteen, all of whom appear to be in good health. The Castle Eden is now the largest merchant vessel in harbour, and is commanded by Captain Austin, late of the Pestonjee Bomanjee.
