Edward Jeffery was employed as Surgeon-Superintendent on three convict ship voyages to Australia:- Recovery to Van Diemen's Land in 1837. The Recovery departed the Downs 1 June 1837 and arrived in Van Diemen's Land 8 October 1837
- Marquis of Hastings to Van Diemen's Land in 1839. The Marquis of Hastings departed Portsmouth 17 March 1839 and arrived Van Diemen's Land 23 July 1839. Edward Jeffery kept a medical Journal from19th February 1839 to 30 July 1839.
- David Clark to Van Diemen's Land in 1841. The David Clark departed Plymouth 7 June 1841 and arrived in Van Diemen's Land 4 October 1841.

Edward Jeffery was on the List of Navy Surgeons unfit for duty in 1859 [3]Death
He died on 20 February 1866 at Sandwich, County Kent.[2]References
