Details: Thomas Bott Humphreys of Aberdeen appeared on summons to answer the complaint of Chief Constable Dennis Kenny for a breach of the Licensing Act. Witnesses were James Moore who was in the employment of Thomas Perry as overseer and storekeeper, Thomas Augustus Perry Esq., Murtagh O Connor who came free to the colony in July 1838 and was in the employment of Thomas B. Humphreys, George Lewis, free who lived on the Aberdeen estate Sterling Minor, free, Mr. Ralph George Martin who resided in Aberdeen. The defendant was convicted and ordered to pay a fine of 30 pounds and costs
