Mr. Alexander Cameron a native of Argyleshire, Scotland, died at his residence, in Blane street on 26th June, after an illness of six weeks. The deceased migrated to this colony in the year 1838 in company with his father and the rest of a large family, the members of which chiefly settled in the vicinity of Newcastle. The deceased passed the most of a long life in and around Newcastle. He leaves a family of four sons to mourn their loss. For the period of eleven years the deceased occupied the office of elder in the Presbyterian Church, Hunter Street, which he filled with care and respect
