In September, 1908, the Rev. Stanley Morrison took up his pastoral duties. During his pastorate the church buildings were renovated to the extent of £200, and during his term nearly all the debt on the church property was removed. This was rendered possible by the splendid gift of £260 which was placed by the members on the Altar of God as a Jubilee thank-offering

Rev Morrison was ordained at Petersham in 1905 and served in Launceston 1805-07, Katoomba 1907-08, Brown Street Newcastle 1908-16, Brisbane 1916-23, Auckland NZ 1923-27, then the Presbyterian Church in San Francisco and Palo Alto until 1937. He was elected Chairman of the Congregational Union of Queensland 1918-19. + photograph
