Details: The Forest Monarch has had a tedious passage from Portsmouth of 117 days. She brings 335 immigrants, classified as follows 52 married couples, 75 single women, 83 single men, 58 children. There have been 13 deaths (2 adults) and 7 births during the passage and as some cases of sickness are still on board she has been placed in quarantine by the health officer. Tho Forest Monarch will be detained in quarantine about ten days. The disease on board is not contagious, but the immigrants generally are in a sickly state - some eight or nine have been confined to their berths. There have been, we hear, thirteen deaths on the voyage.
